You made us feel like we were working with our local home town dealer in Apple Vallt, MN though we were 1200 miles away. The transmission that you replaced is working fine. I took the camper into the Ford dealer that I use for repairs and he checked for updates. Everything is good.

It was reading reviews on your site that led us to East Mountain Auto. Our old van (and sole transportation) was going through a real rough spell in November 2013 having one problem after another and we contacted Don to set up an appointment.
What we really appreciated is the time he took in not only answering our questions but the attention to details with his own questions before we even set the appointment!
Don and the mechanics also explained their diagnostic tests and detailed out repair options. I want to thank your company and Don in particular. Our van broke down just outside of Edgewood at 6:00 on a Friday night one day this last August. Our car club company was able to contact Don and he agreed to keep the shop open until we would limp in at about 15 miles per hour. Once we made it into the shop, he confirmed our transmission was gone. He refilled the transmission fluid, told us where we could go to spend the night, gave us taxi numbers in case our van did not make it, and charged a nominal fee for the work he did. He really saved us from what could have been a really bad situation. (Stuck on a highway on a Friday night with two young children.) The next day we were able to buy a new van and continue on our vacation. The vacation was a huge success due to the kindness and excellent service of Don. We just wanted to show our appreciation for all the help.

I am absolutely amazed and grateful that there are mechanics like East Mountain Auto still around. Halfway through an 18-hour drive from Las Vegas back to Texas last week, the “check engine” light came on. I was devastated. I had just paid a mechanic in Las Vegas $3000 (that I didn’t have) for a new engine, and now my “check engine” light was on. I was so fortunate to find East Mountain Auto. I explained the situation to them, and after looking at my car, they told me that the mechanic in Las Vegas had charged me for an engine that they never put in my car. They showed me evidence that the manifold cover had never been removed and that the car still had its original engine. What amazed me even more is that they took pictures and were willing to put their findings in writing so that I could pursue the matter through the legal system if need be. They even called the other mechanic with me, and thanks to them, I was refunded half of my money. They had absolutely nothing to gain by helping me. They knew that I didn’t live in the area and that I probably wouldn’t be able to be a long-term customer.

I was moving my family from AL to NV during the 2012 Christmas holiday season and my son’s car started overheating. After cooling down, he was only able to drive it a few miles before it again overheated. We were able to nurse the car to Edgewood, NM. I contacted Don at East Mountain Auto & RV Repair in Edgewood, NM. The service was great! Don explained every procedure in detail. We had to leave the car for a radiator and head gasket replacement as we continued our travels to Las Vegas, NV. When I was able to return a few weeks later, Don picked me up at the Albuquerque Airport and took me back to his shop (on a day it was closed and his day off). Again, TOP NOTCH service! I would recommend anyone to this thoroughly competent and expert mechanic.

Thank you for you help on August 7 & 8 with the repair of our 5th wheel trailer axle. We were traveling from Phoenix to Minneapolis to visit grandchildren. We discovered a problem with the wheel/axle/brake when we pulled into the RT 66 RV park at 8 pm on Aug 6th. Folks at the RV park recommended you as doing quality work with reasonable pricing. We arrived as you were opening on August 7th. Alison graciously took our information and problem description. Within a hour Larry had pulled wheels and inspected axles, bearings and brakes. Don and Larry showed us the problem with the brake and axle spindle. Don explained in detail: the options for fixing, the costs of each and the schedule of each option. Don and the team were able to get the axle refabricated (usually a week) with a new spindle and all the parts by the end of the business day. We were able to stay in the trailer on the shop ground that night (super convenient for us). Larry came in early the next morning (on his day off) to mount the axle and hook up the electrical brakes. We were on our way to Minnesota by 9:30 am Aug 8th. Thank you for the superior service and fair prices. You really helped us when we were in a bind.

I just wanted to say thank you one more time for taking the time to look at our motor home on such short notice. We were traveling through town when we suspected something was going wrong with our rear tire or axle. You were kind enough to promptly inspect it and let us know that everything was fine. You were correct. We were able to complete our journey of 5,000 miles with no complications at all. Again, thank you for being so kind to us when we were so far away from home. You guys are great!
I wanted to thank you again for helping my family and me out last Friday. We had the blue Yukon XL with the dirty fuel filter and the four little girls. The stall on the highway gave my wife Shanna a near heart failure and your professionalism and calm approach did wonders to calm her down. Not to mention you got us back on the road again. We made it to Carlsbad Caverns the next day without a hitch and back home in El Campo on Sunday with no other issues. We will be taking the car in to have the fuel pump checked this week.
